Support the Animals

At Grateful Acres Farm Animal Sanctuary, every animal in our care depends on us for lifelong support, comfort, and dignity. As a nonprofit sanctuary, we rely on the generosity of our community to provide feed, shelter, medical care, and daily enrichment for animals in their sunset phase. Every contribution—big or small—directly impacts their quality of life.

Trees

Need to get rid of the real tree after Christmas time? Our goats would love a tree treat!
Contact us to drop off your living Christmas tree after the holidays!

Straw & Hay

Straw & Hay are staples on a farm. Straw is cleared out and composted daily for clean & fresh bedding. Hay, particularly Timothy Hay (aka the ‘good stuff’) offers great nutrition as part of almost every animal’s diet!

Pumpkins!

Bring us your pumpkins! The health benefits of pumpkins for the animals is fantastic! Contact us to drop off your whole pumpkins or non-treated, non-molded carved pumpkins.

Donations

If you choose to donate or contribute items, we would love to thank you—please include your name or a note when dropping off or sending items.

IMPORTANT: Please Note

Many of the animals at Grateful Acres have been rescued, but we are a Farm Animal Sanctuary—not an open-intake rescue.
We wish we could help every animal in need, but each new intake is carefully considered to ensure we can provide lifelong, quality care.
Our current focus is on the well-being of the animals already in our sanctuary and expanding our capacity responsibly.

Please do not abandon animals at the sanctuary.

Visits and Volunteers

We are a Farm Animal Sanctuary offering a peaceful environment where visitors can slow down, connect with animals, and experience the beauty of compassionate care. Every interaction is guided by respect—for the animals, their space, and their well-being. We offer the opportunity to visit the farm, to utilize its resources and (whether independently or supported) promote overall health, mental health, and well-being of the animals. There is a lot that can be gained from hands in the dirt and taking care of the animals, farm and garden…while taking care of yourself!
