With Love Comes Loss!

Grateful Acres was started during a time of tremendous loss for me and a time that none of us could have been prepared for.The past two years have been a roller coaster.

Loss is a part of life and there are no exceptions. Even a small care farm will have its highs and lows.

The loss of our sweet duck Benny weighs heavy on our hearts. Although he was only with us for a little over four months,I never could have imagined that a small feathered friend could teach me so much about determination and ♥

As farmer Joel Saladin says ”May we raise animals so that they only know one bad day.”

For all those that were lucky enough to have met Benny and loved him, his story is one that will continue to be told here at Grateful Acres.
